Job Summary:
Tropical Plant Nursery in Sebring (TopT------------) is seeking a part-time Sales Person to join our team.
Saturdays only (Friday may be added depending on your availability).

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and show them around the farm
Assist customers with their plant needs and provide gardening advice
Merchandise products, including: setting up displays of plants and gardening supplies, arranging signs, posters, promo literature, sign up forms, etc.
Operate a cash register and process customer transactions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including watering plants and cleaning displays
Assist with receiving and stocking of new merchandise
Answer customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Qualifications:

Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in a garden center, plant nursery, or related industry
Passion for plants, gardening, knowledge of tropical plants and related products
People skills, friendly personality
Computer skills such as email, web search, Microsoft Office basics
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions, including Florida heat and sun
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethics and discipline, ability to show up on time
