Lead Teacher
Bricks4Kidz is an innovative educational STEM based program that teaches children a variety of skills and lessons using LEGO� bricks, motors, and moving parts. Our programs provide an extraordinary atmosphere for students to build unique creations, play games, and have loads of fun. The activities are designed to trigger young children's lively imaginations and build their self-confidence. They are taught fine motor skills, diagram reading, and social interaction all while having fun. They follow proprietary lesson plans developed by an architect. The children will also learn the history behind the mechanical models they will build.
We are currently looking for instructors for Bricks4Kidz after school programs and camps. We have after school programs during the fall, winter and spring as well as run camps during the summer. You must be available between the hours of 2:00pm and 6:00pm. This is a part time position that could range anywhere from three to five days a week with an approximate 2-4 hour time frame each day. Summer camps are weekdays for 3 hours to 6 hours each day. Year round availability is preferred. After school programs take place at several schools, districts, libraries, kids establishments, etc throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. Summer camps will take place at several town parks across Long Island.
This job is for you if you enjoy working with elementary aged children and need a part time position. Experienced and certified teachers are preferred, but we will consider individuals with a college degree or working towards a degree in Education.
Principals/teachers, parents, and PTA Members: If your school doesn't offer Bricks4Kidz classes, contact us and we can start a program or field trip at your location.
You must:
Have experience and enjoy working with children ages 3-13
Have reliable transportation
Be on time and have an excellent work ethic
Have great organization skills
Enjoy math & science concepts
Be able to obtain a background check through the school board
This position will also lead to other events such as birthday parties, summer camps, field trips, etc:
Location: Nassau & Suffolk Counties on Long Island.
Compensation: Up to $25 per hr, $60-$80 per birthday party with annual raises.
This is a part-time job.
