Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

Seeking to hire a vocational rehabilitation counselor with superb
communication ability to communicate with injured workers with disabilities
from various backgrounds, attorneys, and claims adjusters to perform the
below responsibilities but not limited to:
Conduct initial vocational interviews to obtain injured workers’ work and
educational background and perceived subjective limitations among other
information. Based on the claim file documents and the initial vocational
interview, prepare initial vocational assessment reports. Analyze
transferable skills. Administer, interpret, and score a vocational test battery.
Prepare vocational testing reports. Provide vocational counseling and plan
development/exploration services to injured workers to assist them
returning to suitable gainful employment within their 60-day plan
development phase. Develop rehabilitation plans that are supported by
their expressed interests, vocational tests results, is within their permanent
work restrictions and is supported by the labor market. Regular consistent
and ongoing follow-up with injured workers in training programs.
Education Level: Master’s Degree in counseling preferably in rehabilitation
counseling. CRC is a plus. Knowledge of how to use vocational reference
sources such as the DOT and Onet, etc.
