Job description
Sinclair Building Architecture Design, LTD (SIN-BAD) is an award-winning, design-build architecture firm based in Aspen, CO with a focus on sophisticated, custom residences and remodels, luxury brand boutiques, and fine dining restaurants. We are seeking a results-driven, self-motivated individual with exceptional design talent and technical acumen to join our team and fill the Project Architect position. Because our firm is small, this role comes with greater autonomy and cross-functional collaboration and will emphasize technical and aesthetic prowess, as well as diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Required)
Master’s Degree in Architecture or a closely related field (Preferred)
Ten or more years of architectural experience with licensure (Preferred)

Essential Functions:

Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating relevant assignments.
Plan and develop architectural projects with unique and/or demanding complexities.
Contribute to the exploration of a subject area, definition of the scope, and development of novel methods to meet client desires.
Responsible for finished plans, specifications, and integration of approved materials.
Must regularly collaborate with senior architects on a range of residential and commercial projects, both new builds and remodels.
Perform tasks within each project phase: Programming, Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiation, and Construction Administration.
Accept design guidance and feedback from Principal Architect to follow company objectives and resolve critical issues.
Produce high satisfaction to maintain client relationships across all active projects.

Qualifications:

Mastery of AutoCAD and Revit.
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Proven ability to reliably meet deadlines.
Commitment to company excellence and high standards of conduct.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp.
Preferred experience in custom or luxury single-family home construction.

Requirements:

Work in person, 5 days a week at the company office located in Basalt, CO.
Travel to local job sites as needed.
Possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation that’s suitable for the mountainous environment.
Interpret complex laws, regulations, policies, and building codes related to projects.
