This is a “hybrid” but mostly “remote/work from home” position. You may be asked to see some clients in our office, however over 95% of our clients want to be seen remotely.

SUMMARY:
Direct provider of professional clinical services as authorized by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) including diagnostic assessment, individual and/or group psychotherapy, and treatment of substance use disorders, mental and emotional disorders under the direct supervision of an independently licensed clinician, if applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree and LSW, LPC or MFT license, or master’s degree and LISW, LPCC, or LMFT license from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker Board and Marriage Family Therapist Board.
• Broad theoretical knowledge in psychopathology and at least one year of experience in counseling and psychotherapy with adults and children
• Ability to work with a wide range of resource professionals, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, and CPST workers.

• Familiar and competent in the use of different counseling and psychotherapy techniques
• Adheres to the code of counselor and social worker ethics
• Skillful in taking a psychosocial history, identifying, and analyzing behavioral/emotional traits and developing an individual treatment plan to address the issues
• Skillful is assessing suicidal/homicidal risk and responding appropriately
• Ability to identify signs of exacerbation and decompensation of mental illness and develop a plan of management which may include other team members
• Ability to work effectively with diversity both in clients and co-workers, including interdisciplinary teams
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides direct mental health services, diagnostic assessment, individual, and group psychotherapy for adults and children with a broad range of substance use disorders, mental health challenges and developmental disabilities.
• Maintain professional records and client histories, conforming to OMHAS standards.
• Professional consultation to agencies, schools, psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatricians, etc., regarding client issues and programs.
• Acquainted with and subject to the rules and regulations of the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage Family Therapist Board, as well as ethical guidelines of the American Counselor's Association and the National Association of Social Workers.
• Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The following are requirements of this job and must be met and maintained at all times during employment in this job:
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen per the drug free workplace policy
• Ability to pass criminal background security screenings as required by regulations/laws related to:
a. Performing the essential duties of this job
b. Working in and accessing partner institutions such as the criminal justice facilities, school, residential facilities, etc.
• Possession of all valid professional licenses required by regulations/laws and accreditation related to performing the essential duties of the job.
• Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license
• Possession of an automobile drivers insurance policy that meets state minimum requirements
• Possession of an automobile with valid plates which meet state requirements
• Ability to perform the following for extended periods, periodically and frequently:
a. Lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
b. Stoop
c. Kneel
d. Bend
e. Feel
f. Walk; and
g. Stand.
• Remain free from being listed by a State, County, City, or federal organization as excluded, debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible to participate in government funded programs including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Childcare Vouchers, Senior Services, Child Welfare or other.
• Remain free from being listed on the Department of Health and Human Services Office or the Inspector General Cumulative Sanctions Report.
• Remain free from being listed on the General Services Administration List of Parties Excluded from the Federal Procurement and Non-Procurement Programs.

JOB TYPE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACT
Salary: Minimum of $30 per hour for LSWs and LPCs (negotiable per experience)
