Tutor
Hello All! Learning & Educational Solutions is looking for qualified SPANISH SPEAKING tutors!
Schedule: Monday – Friday
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (5 hours per day - Varies by school) Please keep in mind that we are looking for a long term education specialist. If hired, you will be making a commitment until at least June. This is not a temporary position.
Learning & Educational Solutions Inc. (LES ) is hiring High School Tutors. Tutoring students in ALL SUBJECTS & REGENTS PREP.
The ideal candidate must have at least three years of prior experience and be very knowledgeable and strong in high school coursework.
Road 2 Graduation provides academic handholding support to students in jeopardy of not graduating. You will be working alongside the student support advocate to support scholars in completing all required work for the school semester/year.
The duties consist of:
o Helping students learn and understand new concepts and complete assignments.
o Prepare plans to help scholars stay on track of their work.
o Follow up with classroom teachers to ensure scholars have completed school work.
o Help scholars complete all projects and assignments.
o Assisting scholars with regents prep and implementing new test-taking strategies.
o Assist scholars with completing credit recovery courses such as Apex.
Please only apply if you meet the following requirements:
- Must have at least a High School Diploma.
- Must Speak Spanish
- Experience in tutoring, working with students, and familiarity with Google Classroom.
- Must be proficient in all high school subjects: Math, English, Science, and History (General Studies).
- Must be able to pass our assessment.
- Must be able to tutor for Regents Prep.
- Must be located in NYC and able to travel between boroughs.
Job Type: Part-time (10-25 hours per week)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
