GLOBAL EXPEDITIONS is looking to add to our team! We are looking for an energetic individual for our growing, family-owned travel agency! Travel is booming and there is no better time to learn the industry!
Our travel consultants play a crucial role in the travel industry, serving as intermediaries between clients and travel service providers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by assisting clients with their travel plans, including booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel services.
- Itinerary Planning: Creating detailed itineraries based on client preferences, budget, and travel constraints. This involves suggesting destinations, activities, and accommodations that meet the client's needs.
- Knowledge of Destinations: Having extensive knowledge of various destinations, including tourist attractions and points of interest.
- Booking and Reservations: Making reservations, ensuring accuracy in bookings, and adherence to travel regulations and policies.
- Financial Transactions: Handling financial transactions, including processing payments, issuing invoices, and managing refunds or cancellations as per the travel provider's policies.
- Travel Advice and Recommendations: Providing travel advice, tips, and recommendations to clients.
- Problem Solving: Resolving any issues or complaints that arise before, during, or after the trip, such as flight cancellations, lost luggage, or itinerary changes.
- Promotions and Sales: Promoting travel packages, special offers, and discounts to increase sales and attract clients.
- Technology Proficiency: Using travel booking platforms, reservation systems, and other software tools effectively to manage bookings, check availability, and process payments.
- Continuous Learning: Staying updated with industry trends, new travel destinations, and changes in travel regulations to provide accurate information and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Networking: Building and maintaining relationships with travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to ensure clients receive the best possible service and deals.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
