PART TIME or PER DIEM: Olive Branch utilizes specific practices and guidelines for interventions to develop, recover, or maintain the meaningful activities, or occupations of an individual with a traumatic brain injury. Our focus is on Instruments of Daily Living. Olive Branch has been serving the needs of TBI individuals for 11+ years and is looking to grow in Sussex Counties.
Scope of work: Per-diem. Will encompass approximately 2-hour in-person visits for providing compensatory strategies that support the individual's performance of daily activities and living independently. You will be addressing the personal, social, emotional, and physical needs of each person served. It will be common activities such as budgeting, bill pay, paperwork organizing, phone call supervision for comprehension, task reminders, appointment scheduling, and creating routines for household task completion.
Responsible for: Using technology such as your smartphone for timesheet/contact notes, reporting progress, supporting individual goals of each person served, providing compensatory strategies that complement the person's capabilities and learning styles, provide motivation and encouragement. Keeping weekly schedules and consistent visits with all individuals served. You must have a strong sense of organization and an ability to break things down into manageable pieces/steps.
Requirements: The perfect candidate can have a background in teaching, occupational therapy, administration, social work, psychology, or a field that needs flexibility, individualized planning, and differential learning. We offer shadowing and training to ensure you are prepared and confident in your ability to support our clients.
