Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities. This position is based in a hospital setting and requires expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's needs and goals
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, and fluency
- Administer swallowing evaluations and implement appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech therapy

Skills:
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate and effective therapy
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech therapy
- Experience in acute care or critical care settings is preferred
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with pediatric speech therapy is a plus
- Strong case management skills to ensure continuity of care
