Special Education Teachers
PLEASE NOTE: The hiring process for this position requires an active New York State Special Education or Literacy license. Also, fingerprint clearance with the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) is mandatory for this position. The company is an accredited vendor with the NYCDOE. The company serves children in grades K-12.
FYI: The company DOES NOT offer SEIT (birth to preschool) services.
Future Leaders of Tomorrow (FLT) is hiring NYS-licensed special education and literacy teachers to work as SETSS providers for the 2024-2025 school year. The students are in elementary and middle schools. They attend nonpublic schools. Providers are needed for schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Currently, providers are needed for IN-PERSON work ONLY.
The providers will work with students one-on-one. Flexible schedules are available. All providers will be hired as W-2 employees.

The NYCDOE requires SETSS providers to maintain a consistent weekly schedule with their students. Therefore, our organization is seeking providers who will commit to their students for the full school year.
Please note:
* Current NYCDOE employees CANNOT apply for this position due to a conflict of interest with the DOE. Current NYCDOE employees (substitute teachers, classroom teachers, etc.) must wait until they have stopped working with the DOE for a full year (12 months) before they can apply for this position
* New licensed special education/literacy graduates are encouraged to apply
* Retired special education/literacy teachers are encouraged to apply
* FLT offers competitive hourly rates of $29/hr to 60/hr that will be commensurate with experience
