The Spa Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring clients receive a high-quality, relaxing experience. This position involves a combination of hands-on tasks, including room preparation, inventory management, marketing support, and client relations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media & Marketing Support
    • Assist with creating, curating, and scheduling content for the spa’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
    • Respond to comments, messages, and reviews on social media channels in a timely, professional manner.
    • Help organize marketing campaigns, promotions, and spa events.
    • Take high-quality photos of the spa, treatments, and products for marketing purposes.
    • Support in drafting and sending out newsletters, promotional emails, and blog content.
       
  2. Room Preparation and Turnover
    • Prepare treatment rooms by setting up linens, equipment, and products before each appointment.
    • Ensure all rooms are cleaned and sanitized between clients.
    • Restock treatment rooms with necessary supplies, including towels, linens, and spa products.
       
  3. Daily Spa Tasks
    • Greet and welcome clients warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and relaxed.
    • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area and common spaces.
    • Handle client check-ins, scheduling, and payments as needed.
    • Ensure all spa equipment is well-maintained and in good working condition.
       
  4. Inventory Management
    • Track, manage, and organize spa inventory, including skincare products, linens, and supplies.
    • Place orders for new supplies as needed, ensuring the spa is always stocked.
    • Assist in organizing product displays and retail areas to enhance the customer experience.
       
  5. Client Relations & Support
    • Provide exceptional customer service by answering client questions about treatments, products, and appointments.
    • Address and resolve client concerns promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
    • Build relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits and product sales.
    • Ensure clients receive personalized attention and support throughout their spa experience.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) and basic understanding of marketing.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a spa, wellness, or customer service setting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of spa treatments and products is a plus, but training will be provided.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting and moving spa supplies.
