This position provides case management, counseling, supportive services, and advocacy to adults and their children who have experienced domestic violence. This position may also represents Laurel House in the community by participating in community and Laurel House events. This is a part-time position with hours from 4:00 pm to Midnight, Saturday & Sunday. 16 hours per week.

Provide individual empowerment counseling and advocacy to clients within the safe house.

Provide hotline callers with crisis and supportive counseling, information and referrals and assistance with safety planning.

Screen and admit hotline callers seeking shelter for domestic violence.

Orient new residents to communal living ensuring paperwork is completed and signed by resident.

Assist residents with work toward goals by providing information, resources and services e.g. housing, healthcare, etc.

Facilitate process by which residents exit the shelter

Responsible for security of the shelter and well-being of clients and their children.
