Douceur de France is a French Bakery and Café with two locations: one in Marietta and one in Roswell. Our dishes are made with traditional French techniques using local and organic ingredients to bring a true taste of France to Atlanta. Our sandwiches, quiches, soups, and pastries are made with our passion for maintaining classically French offerings with a dash of chef-driven creativity! WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Douceur de France is a busy and growing restaurant that requires teamwork and communication between the back and front of the house in order to deliver high quality food and service to our customers. At Douceur de France, the customer is our main priority, and the customer is always right! The restaurant is high-energy, upbeat, and the team is focused on delivering results under pressure. The primary focus of the company’s management is to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our customers, while fostering a work environment that is caring, positive, and team-work oriented.

 

THE JOB

The job of the Server/Cashier is to create an environment that is hospitable and warm for our guests to enjoy. We want our customers to feel like family and for Douceur de France to feel like an extension of their home. The Server/Cashier should be punctual, conversational, kind and maintain a clean and presentable appearance. While serving customers can be at times busy and somewhat stressful maintaining multiple tables at once, the job of the Server/Cashier is to remain cool, calm, and exude a kind demeanor while handling all our patrons’ requests. Active listening and a friendly attitude are critical to succeed in this job. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guests with an exceptional dining experience through efficient, friendly, and professional service
  • Provide excellent service by warmly welcoming guests to the restaurant, guiding them through the menu, and taking and delivering food and drink orders with care
  • Work as a team with other servers to safely and efficiently set up and break down tables and or other special food service tables and equipment
  • Assist guests as needed to ensure a pleasurable and memorable dining experience to encourage repeat business
  • Have a full knowledge of all menu items
  • Address and attend to customers’ concerns, issues, or questions immediately, or quickly involve the manager on duty as needed

 

SKILLS

  • Able to perform wait and service standards within specific time frame
  • Able to learn new tasks such as interfacing with a POS System
  • Able to learn and implement TIPS training and/or previous alcohol training
  • Able to remain calm and maintain courtesy when dealing with upset customers
