PVUMC Preschool is a non-profit in Paradise Valley, AZ. We are professional, creative, collaborative and our goal is to provide quality early childhood education to children ages 2-5. We are a play-based preschool looking for motivated, creative, and hard-working individuals who have a love for children.
Preschool Teacher Position:
The ideal candidate:
- Is a patient, loving, kind, understanding, and gentle individual that has a love of working with children.
- Has a minimum of 6 months-1 year of experience working with children in early childhood environments.
- Has a basic knowledge of the AZDHS childcare rules and regulations.
- Displays the ability to communicate appropriately both verbally and in written form with parents and fellow teachers.
- Available to work contract hours beginning at 7:30 am and ending at 12:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Schedule is nonnegotiable.
- Can implement lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum,
-Create a welcoming and safe environment for all children and co-teachers
-Attend staff meetings and complete all necessary in-service hours as required by AZDHS.
-Rainbow Room aides will be working with children ages 12-30 months. A desire to work with our youngest children is a requirement.
-This is a part time position with hours ranging from 7:30-12:30, with potential until 1:30. Please note these hours when considering applying.
Position Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in early childcare
- Preferred: CDA, AA, BA or master’s in early childhood or Elementary Education
-CPR and First Aid training required
-Fingerprint clearance card required
-Currently live within 10-15 miles of PVUMC Preschool
