The Wasatch Cooperative Market is dedicated to opening the first community-owned grocery in Salt Lake City. We’ll bring local producers and consumers together to cultivate a healthier community and strengthen our local food system. The Co-op seeks a part-time Outreach Coordinator to assist Outreach efforts to acquire new member-owner investors. This position will focus heavily on volunteer engagement.
DUTIES:
Provide strategic guidance on effective outreach activities
Create and manage content for calendar of events, campaigns, social media postings, tabling, and other outreach activities.
Create and maintain a project plan for each outreach effort, working in coordination with the Outreach Chair.
Manage all volunteer needs to accomplish outreach activities
Work with Co-op Development Coordinator to identify, contact, and engage volunteers with needed skill sets.
Manage project tasks with volunteer reminders, follow-ups, and mentoring.
Run weekly planning sessions with the Outreach Chair and monthly outreach meetings.
Create agenda for weekly planning sessions
Update project plans based on meeting agenda
Provide a written outreach update for monthly Board Meetings
Prepare an outreach budget for board approval; manage outreach expenditures to budget.
Assist with outreach activities when volunteers are unavailable or unable to complete work in a timely manner; includes content writing, creating and distributing social media posts/videos, event planning and other outreach needs.
