 Multimedia Coordinator Job Description

 

Purpose:

The Bethesda Multimedia Coordinator is a part-time position (approximately 4-5 hours a week). The major responsibility is overseeing our six-camera system to live-stream worship services, schedule and work collaboratively with several trained volunteers, and to share content on our website and social media platforms. 

 

Accountability:

Reports to the Communications and Marketing Coordinator. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Reputation of a Christ-like attitude towards colleagues, parishioners, vendors, and members of the community.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, strong work ethic, and poise under stress of deadlines and multitasking.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Premiere. 
  • Microsoft Office knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress content management system with Divi Visual Page Builder.
  • Knowledge of OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) for video recording and live-streaming, website hosting, and management.
  • Knowledge of YouTube Creator Studio.
  • Ability to meet regular deadlines, while prioritizing and completing unscheduled work.
  • Ability to work on weekends and major holidays.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee live-streaming of worship services, working with a small group of parish volunteers to insure a smooth and high quality production.
  • Set up and schedule YouTube livestreams for public and private broadcasts.
  • Edit and upload videos to parish website, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram in a timely manner.
  • Assist the BBTS staff in maintaining brand and editorial standards. Ensure consistent look, style, and feel for communications from the church.
  • Assist the Communications and Marketing Coordinator as necessary.
