Reports To: Head Chef/Kitchen Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with company recipes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong culinary skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure that all cooking equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen.
- Menu Planning and Execution:
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to ensure a consistent and high-quality food offering.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Inventory and Ordering:
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage of all food items and ingredients.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation.
- Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Qualifications:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
