Job Description:
As a Licensed Associate Counselor(LAC,LMFT,LCSW) you will provide professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups under the supervision of a licensed counselor or psychologist. Your role is crucial in supporting clients in overcoming personal challenges, improving mental health, and achieving their therapeutic goals. You will work in a variety of settings, such as private practices, mental health clinics, hospitals, schools, or community organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions to assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions.
2. Administer and interpret assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, emotional well-being, and progress in treatment.
3. Collaborate with clients to set goals, track progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
4. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
5. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress or experiencing mental health emergencies.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
7. Stay updated on best practices, therapeutic techniques, and legal regulations in the field of counseling through continuing education and professional development.
8. Participate in supervision sessions with a licensed counselor or psychologist to review cases, receive feedback, and enhance clinical skills.
9. Advocate for clients' rights, access to mental health services, and destigmatization of mental health issues in the community.
10. Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice set by professional counseling associations and state licensing boards.

Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Current licensure in the state of Arizona to practice.
3. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques, treatment modalities, and ethical principles.
6. Experience working in a behavioral health counseling or mental health setting through internships, practicum, or previous employment is preferred.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
