Position Summary:
Preschool teachers play a vital role in the lives of young students by nurturing and developing their interests in age-appropriate subjects. These teachers encourage social interactions and foster a creative learning environment.
Preschool and pre-kindergarten teachers generally instruct children from ages 3 to 5. With the use of interactive teaching methods, preschool teachers provide young children with learning foundations in basic subjects like learning letters and numbers. They use individual and group activities to help students begin the learning process through activities like group reading and various exercises, such as collecting objects and distinguishing shapes and colors. The lead teacher develops partnerships with birth parents/child’s caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in program. The Lead Teacher is also responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all State and local governing contracting agencies; and works collegially with other staff members of Rozzie’s.
Qualifications:
Have a state license to teach.
