Democrats for the Illinois House is seeking dedicated individuals to join our seasonal GOTV team. As a GOTV team member, you will play a crucial role in mobilizing communities to exercise their right to vote and support Democratic candidates in their House districts.

Responsibilities:

  • Canvassing and Outreach:
  • You will be assigned to specific House districts to engage in door-to-door canvassing.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to approach members of the public courteously, inquire about their voter registration status, and provide them with informative literature supporting Democratic candidates.
  • Coordination and Supervision:
  • Your schedule and canvassing areas will be coordinated by your supervisor to ensure effective outreach efforts.
  • Regular communication with your supervisor is essential for successful campaign operations.

Requirements:

  • Adherence to Legal and Regulatory Guidelines:
  • GOTV team members must rigorously adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to the GOTV process as mandated by Illinois law.
  • Compliance with election laws and regulations is of utmost importance.
  • Effective Communication:
  • Strong communication skills are essential to engage with members of the public professionally and effectively convey the campaign's message.
  • Professionalism and Integrity:
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times while representing the organization and Democratic candidates.

Duration and Nature of Position: This is a temporary and at-will position, aligning with the seasonal nature of election campaigns.

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 35 per week
