Job Responsibilities:

Direct Support:
Providing direct, in-person support to help individuals meet their goals. Includes the following:

  • Keeping the principles of ODP’s Everyday Lives at the forefront of service delivery.
  • Participating in meetings to create a plan for supporting individuals starting on day one and throughout the individual/DSP relationship.
  • Executing support activities, which may include helping individuals incorporate interests and hobbies into their daily lives, maintain healthy lifestyles, and improve financial skills. Support activities may also include accompanying individuals into the community to volunteer, attend events, shop, and engage in fitness programs.
  • Completing documentation that is used to track goal progress and ensure quality.
  • Completing 24 hours of paid training per calendar year.

Organizational Functions:
Being involved in things like coordinating company processes, tracking and logging data, training development, or other company functions.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism.
  • Applicants with degrees in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or other related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
