Position Title: Bookkeeper/Receptionist/Social Media Maven
Requirements
Accounting/bookkeeping background with a good knowledge of double entry accounting principles and techniques
Experience with standard accounting activities such as Receivables, Payables, Bank Reconciliation, Purchase Orders, Inventory and Payroll
Experience with computerized accounting programs such as Account Edge or QuickBooks is very desirable
Familiarity in use of MS Office programs Excel, Outlook and Word
Knowledge of submittal process for Federal and State quarterly reports
Familiarity with various government web sites

Job Activities
Work with current Receptionist/Bookkeeper to learn how books are currently setup and where data files are kept
Take over daily data entry for accounting system including receivables, payables, deposits, purchase orders
Work with outside accountant to clear up any accounting problems, questions
Maintain checkbook, accounts receivable and payable and make timely payments and deposits as required
Generate month end reports including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, P L Sheet, Cash Flow Projection with YTD and monthly numbers and comparisons year to year. Identify items for attention of business owner
Develop procedures to better utilize Account Edge to track non-inventory purchases through use of Purchase Orders and associated reports
Review inventory and get current counts up to date. Develop new procedures to ease inventory counting and tracking
Review existing office procedures and recommend changes and new procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency of office


Additional Office Activities
Serve as Front Desk Receptionist for the firm. Greet clients as they arrive, receive machines for repair, return repaired machines to clients, receive payments for products and services.
Answer business phone and direct calls to the proper person

Desirable Social Media Capabilities
Familiarity with social media applications such as Facebook, Facebook Marketplace, Google Business, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc and their use for business marketing
Ability to make periodic posts to social media sites for Computer Tech Tips, items for sale, responses to business enquiries from the business web site and other business marketing uses
Ability to suggest/demonstrate/implement new ways to use various social media techniques for marketing, sales and support services by the company
Web site design, updating ability
Work Time Compensation
About 20 hours per week $17 -- $21 per hour
