ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Front of House
 Work closely with owners and staff to insure the smooth running of the Inn
 Oversee and assist with breakfast service
 Check rooms prior to guest arrival to ensure all details are in place
 Provide concierge service and meeting guests’ needs
 Delegate maintenance issues in a timely manner
 Guest Check-in/Check-out
• Back of the House
 Answer phone calls and being able to accurately book reservations
 Respond to emails in a timely, professional manner
 Process reservations
 Generate ideas for marketing and promotions
 Assist with maintaining the inn’s social media presence
 Contribute to blog posts and quarterly newsletters
 Assist with rate/minimum stay requirements within property management system
• Managing Staff
 Assist with training staff
 Assist with hiring staff when needed
 Supervise operations and housekeeping staff
• Kitchen
 Occasional baking to assist chef
 Assist with kitchen clean-up/set-up
 Plating and refreshing nighttime cookies and refreshments
 Setting up and monitoring evening wine reception
• Housekeeping
 Assist with housekeeping if needed
 Ensure common areas are clean and tidy
PREFERRED SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft office applications, property management systems (Think Reservations a plus), ability to post to social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. The ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with guests and staff is essential. Individual must enjoy working with the general public and providing outstanding customer service.
