Part-Time!! Afternoon work. Weekdays, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
If you are looking for more than 4-6 hours a week, this job is NOT for you.
Salary: $34.00 per class (1 hour class, plus minimal set-up and clean-up)
Classes run in the elementary schools right after school dismisses.
Classes run from September to May (possible summer camp opportunities)
Role Details:
- Engage with students in after-school programs at local elementary schools.
- Follow the Young Rembrandts curriculum and methodology.
- Teach 60-minute drawing sessions to 6-12-year-olds.
- Create engaging in-school displays showcasing students' artwork weekly.
- Maintain accurate records and manage classroom behavior.
- Participation in weekly phone calls and photo reviews with franchisee.
- Attend monthly staff training meetings during evening hours after class.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older.
- Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, volunteer work, etc.).
- Prefer applicants holding or working towards a college degree with 1-2 years experience working with children.
- Must value teamwork and be able to collaborate with other instructors/staff.
- Ability to teach, manage and inspire a group of up to 20 young artists.
- Must be available at least two days per week during after-school hours (2p-5p)
- Reliable transportation, valid driverâs license, and current auto insurance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. CUSTOMER SERVICE!
- Must be able to be responsible for packing, handling, lifting, and loading into a vehicle a supply cart (on wheels) with a weight capacity of approximately 40 lbs. for each class.
- Must be able to stand and walk around a classroom for at least 90 minutes.
- Understanding of technology such as Dropbox, Google Docs, apps and email.
- Access to a printer for printing student rosters.
- Must have a working mobile phone for scheduling, messaging, and photo submissions.
