Job description
We are a SF Bay area based real estate company. We are a small dedicated team that rehabilitates homes in San Francisco and the greater Bay-Area and also manages a portfolio of residential multi-unit properties. We're growing fast and looking for an outstanding Property Manager Intern to be a part of our team. This internship is a ground floor opportunity to see if there is a mutual fit for a successful career in our company.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Property manage our rental property portfolio. Help with tenant selection, coordinate with resources for a positive tenant experience.
• Lease vacant units. Post leasing ads online, respond to emails, schedule showings and provide access to rental units primarily in San Francisco.
• Schedule appointments for repairs, provide access to repair vendors when tenants are unable to, help answer any questions, and document all steps of the process.
• Light handyman skills to triage and repair simple issues as they arise. Coordinate with repair vendors for more complicated repair issues.
• Be willing to get hands dirty if needed – broom clean a hallway, pull weeds or move trash bins if necessary, source materials from Home Depot and move materials from one site to another.
• You will have to answer a small amount of calls or emails and occasionally show rental units on weekends, but this is primarily a Monday through Friday position
• Support project management team in various project management tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Experience in property management or light handyman work is nice to have
• Excellent ability to multitask
• Thorough and detailed in documenting status of ongoing issues
• Polished, client-oriented verbal and written communication
• Experience working effectively both independently and within a team
• Flexibility in schedule and style
• Proficient in productivity and collaboration software

JOB REQUIREMENTS/ABOUT YOU:
• You have a valid driver’s license and a car
• Ability to drive to San Francisco at least 2-3 times a week when required
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office, Google docs, Microsoft Excel and technologically savvy.
• You MUST be able to juggle multiple projects at once
• You preferably have a college degree
• You have excellent follow-up skills for quotes, emails and phone-calls to complete tasks.
• Excellent organizational, team management, problem-solving, motivational skills.
• You are extremely detail oriented and are able to multi-task
• You are eager to find a company to fully commit to and grow with
• You work well under pressure and in fast paced environments
• You have great people skills and you are fun to be around

The perfect candidate would have experience in property management/light construction. Depending on your performance and level of interest, we would consider promoting from this role to our real estate development Project Manager with demonstrated excellence.

The internship will have a compensation commensurate with the number of days and hours you can work, as well as the skill and experience you bring.
