Graduate Student Paid Internship

The Silver Wings Arts Program is an adult day center for the arts in northeast Boulder that offers three daily workshops in art, music, and movement in a relaxed and serene environment. 

Job Description: 

Hiring a graduate student to facilitate art workshops in a variety of mediums to include, but not limited, to oil, watercolor, charcoal, oil, acrylic, pastels, pencils, tempura, glass art, markers, on canvas, fabric, paper, plastic and wood with a variety of subjects including landscapes, figures, and objects. 

Job Duties:

- assist with supply lists

- prepare steps for assigned workshop projects 

- provide clear, concise steps for workshop projects 

- mingle, support, and advise participants

- monitor and dispense supplies

- assist with set up of art space and supplies 

- strike and clean the art space after the workshop

- maintain open, consistent communication with program director

Hours:

Workshops are 1.5 hours - 

2 -3 workshops/week are assigned

- facilitators should be prepared to arrive 15 minutes early for set up

- facilitators should be prepared to depart 15 minutes post workshop for striking

Compensation: 

$75/Workshop

Interviews are set up in two parts. There is a 30 - 45 minute phone 1st interview. The callback interview is a 20 minute demonstration.
