By now you have probably read about 2 dozen of these ads with all of them offering the same things, A veterinary office in need of staff, “focus on culture” and “work life balance”, competitive pay commensurate with experience, flexible scheduling and benefits

Why is this ad different? Well… our hospital is in fact different. We aren’t offering crazy sign-on bonuses that chain you to a job that didn’t live up to expectations or promises. No small print retention gimmicks to leave you feeling trapped. Just us, in all our team's wild, wonderful, and quirky ways

About Us- We are a small animal practice with a strong focus on boundaries, personal growth, and teamwork. The practice is privately owned, staying that way, and is managed by millennials. We understand that working our staff harder doesn’t make sense to anyone in the long run and that one of the biggest issues in the industry is burn out. We have all worked in hospitals that left us tired, worn out, and considering a new career field – they were all great opportunities to learn about what to NOT do as managers. We regularly recognize hard work and new ideas, and we give out bonuses based on those things. We pay bonuses for Saturday shifts, and we schedule according to our staffing and with a focus on our staff leaving at a reasonable time. Too often in this field, closing time and quitting time are too far apart. We use app-based communications/scheduling, acknowledge that everyone learns and thinks a little differently and as a team hold each other accountable for taking care of ourselves. We have a no-tolerance policy in regard to abusive behavior from clients or staff. We encourage all of our staff to do CE, not just those with licenses. We are willing to train new skills to people who show the desire and drive to keep learning. We keep snacks in stock for staff and have a very generous discount program

If you’ve read this much, THANKS! If you’re intrigued but still traumatized by your last job? Reach out! We can discuss a PAID working interview, or even a few work shifts just to get your feet wet again!
