Truck Driver

JOB DESCRIPTION
The service truck driver requires knowledge of safely operating and maintaining service truck and trailer. We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by equipment manager.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Service truck driver directly reports to and is accountable to the foreman.

REQUIREMENTS:
A. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years’ experience.

B. LICENSING/REGISTRATION
CDL A Required
C. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure proper maintenance of truck and trailer, including tire pressures, fluid levels, lights.
2. Ensure truck is properly equipped with hand tools, equipment and supplies necessary for the job in an organized and clean manner.
3. Safety operate and handle truck/trailer; load and secure the equipment.
4. Keep truck clean on a daily basis.
5. Keep shop informed of operating deficiencies.
6 Must arrive on time at job site and make sure foreman is contacted if problems occur.
D. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
1. Enforce all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook.
2. Ensure all Ajax quality standards are met.
3. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental Rules and Regulations.

E. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Field operation – Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat.
2. Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.

F. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The essential functions of this position includes sitting, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.

H. ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY
1. Reporting to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized.
2. Always providing proper notification and advance notice of absence.
3. Not abusing or taking advantage of personal days off.
4. Performing such other duties as may be required.
