Tire Technician/ Mechanic Trainee C Level

We have an immediate opening for a tire technician. You will be responsible for inspecting tires on our tractors/trailers and heavy equipment fleet. Repairing and installing tires and wheels when necessary. Other job duties include tire rotations, balancing, and other shop maintenance. 

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires on vehicles before and after installation
• Breaking down tires, repairing and remounting
• Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects
• Inspect tire casings for defects such as holes, cracks, tears
• Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding, clean and polish
• Properly torquing wheel lugs to specifications
• Willingness to learn
• Perform oil/filter changes
• Grease chasis/body
• Minor repairs: mud flaps, lights, wiper blades etc
• Assist shop mechanics as needed
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Progress to more advanced repairs

Requirements

• Some professional experience removing and installing tires
• Attention to detail
• Mechanical mindset
• Understand importance of punctuality
