Structural Engineer
Botkin Parssi & Associates, Inc. (BPA) has provided professional structural engineering, project planning, and construction administration services to clients in Palm Beach County for over 45 years. BPA offers various structural engineering services, including structural design, feasibility studies, project criteria, specification development, CADD drafting, independent design/peer review, specialized structural analysis, failure analysis, and threshold inspections. Our projects include high-end residential, commercial, industrial, condominium, retail, and hardscaping.
We have an opening for a structural engineer with 3+ years of experience. Candidates for the engineering position should possess at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Structural Engineering and have or are about to obtain an EI certification in Florida.
Applicant’s primary responsibilities will include, structural design and detailing, structural calculations, field visits, and related duties.
Requirements
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in structural design, and has or is about to obtain an EI certification in Florida.
· 3+ years of hands-on experience working as a structural engineer.
· Experience interacting with clients, vendors, contractors, and permitting agencies.
· Ability to coordinate with project managers and communicate with AutoCAD Operators.
· Accountable for effective planning, coordinating, and executing all engineering aspects for successful design.
· The ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
Responsible for supporting projects from conception through commercialization by engaging in all phases of design, and product development, working with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and other cross-functional team members internally and externally sourced.

- Produce structural analysis and calculations as necessary for structural reviews
- Review and check structural drawings
- Performing detailed structural analysis and design using structural software
- Supervise the work of other structural engineers and structural designers
- Prepare structural construction documents and review shop drawings
- Use structural engineering and construction terminology
- Field inspections of structures and prepare reports
