The Role

Do you enjoy solving technical problems and explaining the solution? Are you a self-starter who enjoys the independence of working autonomously in a variety of workplaces? We have the right job for you! You will spend a lot of your time troubleshooting tooling issues. As a Service Technician, you will be the customer’s first point of contact with Kinetic Tools when issues arise with tooling. Excellent communication skills, responsiveness to customer requests, computer literacy and accurate service record keeping are important attributes for this position. Other tasks in this position include calibrations, programming of new equipment, startup support and training. This role will involve travel to customer sites within Illinois (60%), our Elgin location (30%), and travel outside of the state (10%) as well.

• Greater Chicagoland Area near Elgin, IL

What We Expect of You?

• Flexible responsiveness to customers’ production demands which could involve working outside normal working hours

• Be a self-starter who will take ownership of meeting the customer’s needs

• Ability to work independently

• Familiarity with manufacturing/production or assembly plant working conditions

• Experience servicing Atlas Copco fastening tools, torque theory, and fastening knowledge are strongly preferred

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with pneumatic and DC power tooling in a production environment or equivalent experience

• Experience in calibrations and assembly tooling preferred but not required

• Troubleshooting experience with excellent communication/customer service skills

• Microsoft Office suite competence
