Looking for an independent Sales Assistant to run the City of Hope Apparel Co. store in the Kahler Grand Hotel lobby while backing up the central sales team in the Elgin office. Employee will be expected to train in Rochester and Elgin, and occasionally travel to Elgin for meetings.

Hours: Paid holidays, no weekends or nights. Flexible hours, but will need to keep the store open for posted hours 11am - 6pm. 4 days x 10 hours shifts with Fridays off open to discussion if desired.

Pay: Wage starts at $18/hour with performance based raises.

Qualifications: Sales, retail, and Quickbooks knowledge preferred but not required. Must be able to provide own transportation to and from work, as well as to and from Elgin office for training and meetings. Must be friendly with customers, have a positive attitude, be capable of working independently some days and closely with the team other days.

Duties:

Answer phones and greet customers
Working at the point-of-sale counter to process transactions
Recommending products or merchandise to help customers
Informing customers about sales, promotions and policies
Monitoring the merchandise and notifying a superior when items need to be restocked
Stocking merchandise and creating displays
Arranging items such as special sale items to engage customers
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
Assist the sales team with new product research
Enter orders and invoices into QuickBooks Online
