Immediate opening for a full time Project Engineer. 

We specialize in providing Geotechnical Reports (soil reports) for projects, large and small. We have over 20 years of experience with the local cities and counties.  We are located in Watsonville, California and serve Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Clara Counties.

Our projects include custom homes, additions to existing homes, muli-family residential developments, commercial buildings, mixed use buildings and land divisions. 

Responsibilities:

• Proposal preparation including scope, budget, schedule, and resource management.
• Client interaction and project management.
• Field exploration including logging of drill holes and test pits.
• Laboratory testing. 
• Perform and review geotechnical engineering analyses (bearing capacity, earth pressures, liquefaction, slope stability, etc).
• Report Preparation.
• Observation and testing services during construction operations.
• Review of plans for conformance with reports.
• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations and design activities.
• Performs on simple and technically complex projects  under the supervision of senior staff.

Requirements: 

• BS/MS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the geotechnical field.
• A professional license is preferred but not required (PE or GE).
• Be flexible, able to work independently, detailed-oriented, well organized, self-motivated, able to communicate well verbally and in writing.
