As an PCA working at a summer camp or ESY program at a school, you will be pivotal in helping children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities reach their full potential.

Position Overview: We seek a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team in supporting children with special needs in a summer camp. As an RBT, you will collaborate with counselors, therapists, and other professionals to implement behavior intervention plans and provide individualized support to students. Your contributions will directly impact students' academic, social, and behavioral development, making a lasting difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with summer camp and school staff to provide targeted support to students with ASD and other developmental disabilities.

Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student behavior and progress.

Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support the acquisition of academic and social skills.

Employ behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.

Collect data on student progress and behavior during camp activities.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred)

Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in a classroom setting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on students' lives
