Laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Packing and Plant Laborers to join our team at our Savannah, GA production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the packing and packaging process and supporting various production activities to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Packing:
  • Operate packing machinery and equipment to package finished products efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of packaged materials.
  • Conduct quality checks on packed products to maintain standards.
• Plant Operations Support:
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Support machine operators in the setup and operation of production equipment.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety training and contribute to the maintenance of a safety-first culture.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding workflow and any issues that arise.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 55lbs) and perform physical tasks.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

 

Work Environment:

• This position requires working in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be always worn.
