WASHINGTON, DC (NATIONWIDE SEARCH): A dedicated single father in the heart of Washington, DC, seeks two FULL-TIME ROTATIONAL NANNIES to provide exceptional 24/7 care to his 9-month-old son. This unique opportunity offers a one-week-on, one-week-off schedule, with nannies living in the home during their working week and in their own residence during their off week. While they are open to all US candidates, local candidates are preferred. Living accommodations include a private bedroom and bathroom while working.
The primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive childcare and maintaining a tidy environment for the child. This encompasses tasks such as doing the child’s dishes and laundry. The ideal candidates will be clean, neat, and considerate roommates, ensuring both personal and child-related spaces are well-maintained. The baby, who used to sleep through the night, has recently started waking occasionally. The nannies will help establish and maintain a proper schedule and engage the child in various activities like visiting the zoo, museums, and parks, keeping him engaged and learning! A family vehicle will be available for use during work hours.
The household is supported by a household manager/executive assistant who helps in the home and the office. Dad has a demanding career and needs extra support. He has a 13-year-old son with whom he has shared custody and who does not require care. There are additional family members (a married couple) who also live in the home. One works outside of the home, and one stays at home. They share a deep affection for the child and enjoy spending time with him. Thus, they seek a nanny who is not possessive of the child and is open to family members in the home stepping in to play and visit with the child.
The ideal candidate is trustworthy, honest, and an excellent team player, working harmoniously with the fellow nanny, family members, and household staff. It takes a village! Someone who is drama-free and confident in their skills and knowledge but is open to suggestions and doesn’t take them personally or get easily defensive. The role requires a positive attitude, full engagement with the child, and minimal phone usage during work hours. Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are highly desirable. All applicants must be fully vaccinated for seasonal flu, COVID-19, and its boosters. A passport or willingness to obtain one is required for potential extended travel as the child grows.
Pay is $25-35/hour gross paid via payroll. Benefits include paid sick days, vacation, and major holidays. The start date is early October!
