Physician and stay-at-home mom seek a FULL-TIME NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to care for their two boys, ages 3 and 8. Hours are typically from 6:30am-10:30am to get kids ready, fed, and off to school, picking the kids up at 3:00pm and staying through dinner until 7/7:30pm. There is a break between 10.30 AM to 3 PM most days. They would appreciate occasional help with the children’s laundry, home organization/general tidying up, and running errands while the children are in school. This is a full-time position, working at least 40 hours a week. Flexibility with the schedule is required as the hours can vary depending on the day and the needs of the family. The children will be in camps throughout the summer aside from 1-2 weeks. They prefer that their nanny has their own vehicle to transport the boys in. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
The nanny’s main priority is to keep the boys engaged and on a schedule throughout the day. Therefore, an engaging personality with an upbeat demeanor and with the attributes of a good role model would be ideal. Responsibilities will include transporting the boys to and from school (both boys attend the same private school) or extra-curricular activities (older son), preparing their meals/school lunches, and keeping them occupied and stimulated in downtime. Candidates should have good leadership skills, with the ability to manage each child’s schedule and ensure the day is running smoothly for the family. They seek a nanny with strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence (ability to take nonverbal cues), and the ability to fluctuate into different roles such as organizing and running errands while the children. A true professional who practices discretion and can be an older sibling-type role model for the children. Of course, the family understands that each person is different and are happy to accommodate differences in style and responsibilities within the frame of the overarching guidelines. Must be a non-smoker, COVID vaccinated, and comfortable working with parents in the home, as mom currently stays at home and dad works from home in a dedicated office 50-60% of the time.
The position can be LIVE-IN or LIVE-OUT. Live-in accommodation consists of a private bedroom with a walk-in closet and a private bathroom. The family eats a vegetarian diet and is not able to accommodate non-vegetarian food in the home; however, the nanny is welcome to partake in eating meat outside of the home.
Pay is $25+ per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance is provided on a case-by-case scenario. Benefits include paid sic days, holidays and vacation. Start date is ASAP!
