Job description

Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests, administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment
-Assist physicians and mid-levels providers during patient examinations and in-office procedures

-Maintain medical supplies

-Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments

-Properly disposes of contaminated supplies

Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical assistant training program preferred
- Previous experience working in a medical setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

-Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)
