Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinery Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machinery repair and maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting and solving mechanical issues. This role requires hands-on expertise, attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and equipment
-Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely
-Troubleshoot issues and identify necessary repairs or adjustments
-Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics
-Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for repairs
-Collaborate with other technicians and team members to resolve complex problems
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
-High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred
-Proven experience as a machinery repair technician or similar role
-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
-Proficiency in reading technical manuals and blueprints
-Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
-Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-Strong communication and teamwork abilities
-Commitment to workplace safety
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
-Prolonged periods of standing, bending and kneeling
-Comfortable working in various environments, including noisy and confined spaces
