Position Summary

The Informatics Nurse plays a pivotal role in supporting APACHE reporting by managing and analyzing data extracted from Electronic Medical Records (EMR). This position involves coordinating with teams, ensuring data accuracy and compliance, and providing clinical insights to facilitate high-quality research outcomes. Additionally, the CRN coordinates timely delivery of quarterly reporting to partner hospitals.

* This role works in-office in Brentwood, TN. There are no remote work options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily chart reviews for critical care patient population across partner hospitals
  • Extraction of relevant clinical data from hospital partner EMRs for entry into APACHE database
  • Collaboration with data team colleagues to create quarterly reporting for partner hospitals
  • Provide clinical insights and expertise; ensuring that data is clinically relevant and appropriately interpreted
  • Validating data in collaboration with our physician team
  • Ensure timely delivery of quarterly reporting to partner hospitals
  • Occasional clinical oversight of staff in Virtual Care Center

Requirements:

  • APACHE experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic and Cerner required
  • 2+ years of clinical informatics preferred
  • 2+ years of clinical practice is required, Critical Care preferred
  • Time as part of a data team preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to effectively manage time, ensuring timely delivery of partner hospital reporting
  • Ability to effectively navigate different EMRs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer documentation and navigation; windows-based computer operations

Education:

  • Valid RN licensure or an unencumbered compact nursing license and the ability to acquire additional nursing licenses
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an acceptable and recognized institution

In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for 401k, continuing education, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors, including type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
