Infant Teacher

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our educational team. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 3 years. You will be responsible for implementing the Montessori philosophy and curriculum to promote the holistic development of each child in your care.

Your Responsibilities:

Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for infants.

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to enhance the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants.

Observe and assess individual children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development and milestones.

Foster positive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring the availability and proper use of materials and resources.

Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to promote a cohesive and integrated approach to education.

Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing, health, and safety regulations.

Must be able to fulfill the physical demands of the position i.e., carry, push, lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

15 ECE credit units: 12 Core + Infant-Toddler

Previous experience working as an Infant Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.

Strong understanding of child development principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with infants.

Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of each child in a respectful and nurturing manner.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on education and experience
