Job Description:
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Handyman to handle a variety of maintenance tasks across our bonsai nursery. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs. You will play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure, equipment, and overall appearance of the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our plants, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as yard work, electrical repairs, and carpentry.
• Repair and maintain nursery structures, including greenhouses, sheds, and walkways.
• Ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address potential issues.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment used in the nursery.
• Assist with landscaping tasks, including pruning, planting, & general garden maintenance.
• Handle basic mechanical repairs and maintenance on nursery vehicles and machinery.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to support day-to-day operations.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Worker.
• Strong knowledge of various maintenance and repair skills, including sprinkler repair, electrical work, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Experience working in a nursery, garden center, or similar environment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
