Messer Americas’ Graduate Development Program (GDP) immerses graduates, like you, into the broad world of industrial gases. This two-year program allows graduates to choose between one of five tracks (Operations, Commercial, Information Services, Finance, and Supply Chain Management). In each track you will learn about Messer’s business, develop your technical and business capabilities, and excel as a professional. Each 8-month rotation* allows you to explore a new area of business as you relocate** to different locations across America.


All rotations and locations are based on your skills, our business need, and opportunities for your professional growth and career
development. Rotation locations may include:

City of Industry, CA
Bethlehem, PA
Cleveland, OH

Track Options


Operations –(Bachelor’s in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) The Operations track allows GDP participants
to dive into the world of Messer’s air separation and CO2 plants. They may be involved in planning large capital scale projects,
working on continuous improvement and efficiency, or take part in daily plant operations.


Customer-Facing Engineering / Commercial – (Bachelor’s in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering)
The Commercial track allows GDP participants to focus on value added technologies. They may be involved in new product
development, planning / executing technology installs at customer sites, or finding new customers and developing a more
diverse customer base.


Information Services – (Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or Data
Analytics) The Information Services track allows GDP participants to play a direct role in delivering IT and digital solutions, gaining
experience in technology infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity and project management. **The Information
Services track will predominately be located at our office in Bridgewater, NJ.


Supply Chain Management – (Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Information Systems or Logistics)
The Supply Chain track allows GDP participants to experience disciplines ranging from customer demand forecasting and
production planning all the way to customer deliveries. They may be involved in production vs transport cost optimization, supply
chain data analysis, visualization and automation, or continuous improvement / efficiency projects. **The Supply Chain track will
predominately be located at our office in Bethlehem, PA.


• Finance – (Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or MBA) The Finance track immerses GDP participants into the
world of Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Modeling & Capital Investment, Controllership & Accounting, and much more.
Projects can include: forecasting financial results, developing financial models, and conducting risk assessments. *The Finance
track is comprised of four 6-month rotations. **The Finance track will predominately be located at our office in Bridgewater, NJ.
