<p>We are looking for a Licensed Funeral Director &amp; Embalmer to work at our three funeral homes in the Salem area. Please reply with your resume and a cover letter.<br><br><br>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br>*Meeting with families at the time of need to create funeral contracts per company policies and state laws<br>*Office work, such as completing vital records, submitting obituaries, coordinating services, etc.<br>*Coordinate with clergy, cemetery personnel, and other service providers<br>*Completing preparations of the body which may include: restorations of the body; performing removals and transfers; dressing, styling hair and or applying cosmetics, and; any other preparation required for human remains, all in a respectful manner<br>*Adheres to all applicable professional, state and federal licensing authority regulations<br>*Assists with maintenance of preparation room and the facility<br>*Cleans soiled equipment and hazardous material spills<br>*Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions<br>*Performs other duties as assigned<br>*Willing to work at all locations as needed: Restlawn Funeral Home, Keizer Funeral Chapel, and Farnstrom's Mortuary<br><br><br>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<br><br>*High school diploma or equivalent<br>*Graduation from accredited mortuary college or other degree as required by state law<br>*Funeral Director Embalmer, Apprentice experience as required by state law<br>*Minimum of 1 year of experience in an embalming facility preferred<br>*Must meet all licensing requirements as required by law<br>*Valid driver’s license<br>*Acceptable driving record<br>*Ability to lift over 75 pounds., stand for 2-3 hours, and push/pull 30-300 lbs. with a wheeled cart<br>*Proficient in the use of computers, software, and technology<br>*High level of compassion and integrity<br>*Good communication skills<br>*Problem solving skills<br><br><br>Please note that this job may require long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ability to maintain composure in emotionally charged situations is essential.</p>
