Life's New Beginning is looking for motivated individuals with a passion for care to take on the role of Direct Support Professional. The role of the DSP is to provide direct care while teaching daily living skills (cooking, self-care, hygiene, laundry, cleaning, shopping), health and safety skills, social skills, and relationship building skills. The DSP also provides support in the community and during social, recreational, and/or leisure activities. The DSP's role is also that of a mentor who will encourage and foster independence.

Residential Programs: We have one and two-person residential homes in which the DSPs provide individualized care and support, teach concepts of daily living and promote community involvement. The Direct Support Professional role is the most integral position when providing services and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The position requires patience, care, understanding, and compassion. It is also important that the DSP is responsible, reliable, honest, and has the ability to make effective decisions as well as possess the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Founded in 2015, Life's New Beginning is a non-profit agency in York, PA providing services and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. LNB provides person-centered services to individuals with a primary diagnosis of an intellectual disability both in residential homes (owned and operated by LNB) and in the community (Companion and CPS Program). LNB adheres to trauma informed care practices.
