Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator is the individual responsible for the execution of the administrative management of the project. The Project Coordinator shall assist with the technical aspects of the project as may be assigned by the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will be expected to perform the clerical task. They must be able to handle a rapid pace, prioritize and be detail oriented.  Proficiency of construction process and terminology and a working knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation of specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  2. Coordinate communication between project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  3. Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  4. Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  5. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  6. Help resolve project-related issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
  7. Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes and coordinating material deliveries.
  8. Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes during project meetings.
  9. Contribute to the development of project plans and strategies to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in construction project coordination or administration is a plus.
  3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety regulations.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
