Certified Medical Assistant
Interventional Pain Management Practice located in Alpharetta is looking for a reliable Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently.
The ideal candidate will possess great organizational skills and energy, a can-do attitude, a desire to learn the practice, and a collaborative team spirit. The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, a superior commitment to patient care, and the ability to work closely with patients and physicians.
Clinical Duties include but are not limited to:
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient and obtaining medical history and known drug allergies.
- Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, reporting patient history summary and confirming medication status with patient. Experience administering IV's a plus.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Prepare rooms for patients and maintaining cleanliness between patient visits.
- Maintain appropriate supplies in exam rooms.
- Process urine/lab sample. Pack and ship to their appropriate destination.
- Assisting with scanning, faxes, prescription refills and referrals for physical therapy, MRI, CT, etc.
