We are actively seeking a Full-Time Athletic Trainer at our San Jose, CA and Santa Clara, CA site locations.

 

**Please note, this position requires travel and coverage between both sites. A company vehicle will be provided for travel between sites.**

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Offer on-site care for construction workers
  • Conduct fitness assessments and consultations to determine clients' goals and needs
  • Develop personalized exercise programs based on clients' fitness levels, goals, and preferences
  • Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust their exercise programs, as needed
  • Provide ongoing support, motivation, and accountability to help clients stay on track with their goals
  • Educate clients on proper nutrition and lifestyle habits to enhance their overall health and well-being
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Evaluate injury risks
  • Offer preventative or treatment appointments for work and non-work related injuries
  • Offer general rehabilitation for work and non-work related injuries
  • Work with Safety Professionals to create new programs and initiatives to improve worker’s wellbeing
  • Collect and analyze data to find trends and implement changes

 

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be passionate about the preventative care, wellness, and education of construction workers
  • Be self-motivated, organized, friendly, and able to work with multiple entities
  • Have experience and/or comfortability in an industrial/construction setting
  • Have leadership skills and be able to work without direct supervision
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to build rapport with clients, safety professionals, and construction workers
  • Be able to collaborate with other department leads
  • Have proven knowledge in the evaluation, first aid, and treatment of orthopedic or sports medicine related injuries
  • Possess strong knowledge of body mechanics and exercise physiology
  • Have the ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals
  • Possess knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure safe and effective exercise programming

     

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an Athletic Trainer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of the challenges industrial athletes (construction workers) face, proper nutrition, industrial injuries, and treatment options
  • Understanding of first-aid treatments, massage, and physical therapy techniques, and equipment
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills
  • Valid ATC/CAT/CRC certification
  • Experience in health coaching or nutrition counseling is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or related background in athletic training

 

Compensation: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday; Daylight
