Torah Academy, a private school with a 79-year legacy in education, is currently seeking enthusiastic educators to apply for the position of 6th Grade Math.

Position Details:

  • Type: 0.5 FTE (12:15 PM - 4:15 PM) or 1.0 FTE
  • Grade Levels: 6th Grade
  • Subject: Math and Science

 Unique Opportunities at Torah Academy:

  • Approximately 175 working days
  • 3 long breaks each school year (including holidays and mid-winter break)
  • Friday early dismissals (2:15 or 1:30 for most of the school year)
  • Safe school environment with a focus on traditional education
  • Cell phone use by students is not allowed

 Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Principal of General Studies, 6th grade teachers are expected to:

  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula/learning targets based on the MN Academic Standards for Math
  • Select and suggest materials and supplies to implement lessons
  • Use a variety of assessments to evaluate and record student growth
  • Maintain high educational rigor
  • Keep student attendance records, grades, and parent communication up to date
  • Adhere to Torah Academy's mission statement, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds

 Curricula Materials/Resources:

  • Designated scope and sequence with learning targets for creative classroom implementation
  • All Things Algebra
  • Utilization of ParentLocker for gradebook, emails, and attendance

 Qualifications (1):

  • MN Teacher Licensure – Preferred but not required
  • Expired Teaching License
  • Degree in a related field
