We are a small fast growing marine life supplier on Cobscook Bay in Eastern Maine in the seaside town of Pembroke in Washington County, Maine. We sell a variety of product categories: fresh / dried seaweeds, marine life specimens, local shellfish, and recreational fishing baits. We sell DTC online and so juggle a variety of small business related tasks involved with orders, packing, shipping, and customer service. The perfect candidate for this position will be a self-starter who will be able to handle switching gears a lot, multi-tasking, and daily problem solving. The ideal candidate will love the ocean and be excited to work in the office as well as out in the bay on boats or along the shore. We need help with all facets of this marine supply company. Previous experience not required, rather an eagerness to learn, ability to multi-task, and willingness to take on a multitude of daily projects. Day to day tasks could include social media updates, website product entries, packing customer orders, harvesting marine specimens, maintaining aquaria, ordering supplies. Experience with Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, posting will be a benefit. Ability to work the back-end of our websites also a plus. Every day is a mix of both office and field work depending on the winds, tides, and weather. Interest in product packaging, marketing, and design also a plus.
